Approved for use in organic agriculture, Nterra is a nitrogen fixing bacterial product. In tests it has shown capable of sequestering atmospheric nitrogen, enabling a reduction in applied N.
Nterra treated lettuce seedlings, just after germination were harvested 4-5 days ahead of the control. Nterra treated lettuce plants showed increased levels of Phosphorus, Nitrogen, and Iron, and reduced levels of aluminum. Treated plants were 20% larger by mass.
Nterra can be applied directly to seeds, in furrough, or as a foliar spray at early development. Nterra is compatible with fungicide seed treatments, nutrition, rhizobium, and other organic products.
